Jaw-dropping enhancements lie ahead as the Bupati of Badung Regency in Bali, Bapak I Nyoman Giri Prasta, is dedicated to transforming Jimbaran into a culinary tourism haven. A whopping Rp 25 Billion has been allocated for the improvement of Jimbaran Beach and the construction of Jalan Segara Giri Jimbaran, a breathtaking coastal route.
Placing utmost importance on the coastal area and its connecting roads, Bupati Giri Prasta urges the local community to remain united as the primary stakeholders in their beloved home. Committed to meeting deadlines, a round-the-clock work schedule has been implemented to ensure timely completion of this ambitious project.
In addition to the road enhancements, plans are underway to neatly organize the cables in tourist hotspots by bundling them onto single poles. Moreover, waste bins are being installed as part of the initiative, aiming to conclude all these remarkable improvements by 2024.
This visionary development has been a long-cherished aspiration of the entire Jimbaran community, including the esteemed fishing groups. The Regent of Badung graciously granted approval after considering proposals from 13 banjars, with the initial focus on enhancing Jimbaran Beach and constructing an access road from Jalan Pemelisan Agung to Jalan Yoga Perkanthi.
During a momentous ceremony, I Gusti Made Rai Dirga Arsana Putra, the Chairman of Jimbaran Traditional Village, expressed his anticipation for future expansion. He hopes this initiative will eventually provide an alternative to the congested western ring road in the Jimbaran and Bukit areas, alleviating the perpetual traffic jams experienced on Jalan Uluwatu I.
