“Unbelievable AIS Youth Conference in Bali taking the World by Storm: Unveiling the Untold Truths Behind Maritime and Climate Issues!”

The AIS Youth Conference in Bali is creating a buzz in the maritime and climate community. This groundbreaking event, part of the AIS Forum Summit series, is set to take place from October 6th to October 8th, 2023. With the theme “Bridging the Waves for the Oceanic Future We Aspire To,” the conference brings together young delegates from 29 AIS Forum member countries across the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indies regions.

Handpicked by the AIS Forum Secretariat, these youth delegates have a crucial mission: to advocate for sustainable ocean protection and boost the blue economy. The conference was officially opened by Jodi Mahardi, the Deputy for Coordination of Maritime Sovereignty and Energy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia.

Riny Modaso, Head of the AIS Forum Secretariat, emphasized the significance of the conference within the AIS Forum’s initiatives. Its main objective is to actively engage the younger generation in processes and activities aimed at raising regional awareness of marine and climate issues.

Riny highlighted the conference’s agenda, which revolves around four key topics: “AIS Youth for Ocean-based Climate Actions,” “Advancing Youth-led Blue Entrepreneurship,” “Project & Business Management 101 for AIS Youth,” and “Youth-advocacy in International Ocean Diplomacy.”

The AIS Youth Conference is an unparalleled opportunity for young minds to network, learn, and contribute to the global efforts in preserving oceans and maritime resources. This conference aims to empower the youth and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and platforms to make a difference.
