In today’s world, where cultural awareness, environmental concerns, and responsible travel are gaining importance, BBTF is proud to present the theme of the 9th BBTF 2023: “Reconnecting to Quality & Sustainable Tourism.” The commitment to promote and preserve destinations has garnered support from national and international players, who have shown confidence in BBTF’s ability to drive market development.

With 230 sellers from 5 countries, including China, Italy, Malaysia, and America, as well as 337 buyers from 51 countries, BBTF 2023 is set to be a success. The event, taking place on June 14th-17th, 2023 at Bali International Convention Centre (BICC), will be attended by industry leaders from Europe, the Middle East, ASEAN, Australia, America, and Asia. This will solidify BBTF’s position in the market, as well as the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies – ASITA Bali chapter.

Leading hotel operators, such as Marriott International group, Hyatt group, Archipelago group, Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Cross Hotel, Bali Villa Association (BVA), Ubud Hotel Association (UHA), Swiss-Belhotel International, and more, will also be in attendance as sellers. Additionally, state-owned enterprises and various Indonesian exhibitors from different regions will join BBTF, bringing a new level of diversity to the event.

In response to market demand, BBTF will showcase and promote sustainable tourism products, with a particular focus on health tourism and community-based tourism. The aim is to create a responsible future for the tourism industry and benefit both the environment and local economies. The B2B event is expected to generate business contracts worth IDR 8.5 trillion in 2023, a significant increase from the previous year.

To further enhance knowledge and understanding of quality and sustainable tourism, BBTF will host a tourism seminar before the tradeshow. The seminar will address the opportunities and challenges of this industry, as well as the development of health tourism. Attendees will gain valuable insights into sustainable tourism practices, which can have positive effects on the environment and local communities.

BBTF is dedicated to ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for the tourism industry. As part of their efforts, Indonesian government officials, including the chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR-RI) and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, will be present to open the event.
